Dazzle Camouflage Cards

Description: Dazzle Camouflage

Description: This fox has been painted with a special camouflage design so that it is difficult to estimate its range, speed and heading.

Description: Dazzle camouflage used complex geometric patterns to mislead enemy submarines rather than hide from them. Invented during World War I, these high-contrast shapes broke up a ship's silhouette. This distortion made it difficult for enemy operators to estimate the ship's speed, heading, and distance, causing torpedoes to miss.
