In 1972, A&P expanded this format to 1,500 existing A&P stores; however, the expansion failed as older stores built prior to the '50s were not large enough to stock bulk packaged goods. The tagline used in ads and worn by employees was "I won't stop trying till you say Weeeeeo!" but by 1975, A&P abandoned the concept, so I guess they did kinda stop.
