Dimetrodon Cards
Description: Dimetrodon was part of a group known as known as mammal-like reptiles or stem-mammals. While they share many traits with modern reptiles and modern mammals they are neither, but are part of the overall group called Synapsids that includes all modern mammals (even humans like you). While it is often associated with dinosaurs in popular media these sail-backed quadripeds are much older than that group and are most closely related to us than they are to dinosaurs. Dimetrodon main defining traits include a very distinctive sail supported by extensive neural spins, as well as a set of differentiating teeth that were clearly evolved to different uses, something we and most modern mammals share.
Description: A dramatic Dimetrodon design inspired by vintage Japanese poster art, featuring the iconic sail-backed Permian predator in a stormy prehistoric landscape. A bold paleoart design for paleontology fans, fossil lovers, natural history enthusiasts, and anyone fascinated by prehistoric life.
Description: Name. Buzzsaw. Species: Dimetrodon. Music Talent: Keyboard, Synthesizers. Buzzsaw is the keyboard champion with the wicked grin, always headbanging along when the sound of his instrument unites with the sounds of his bandmates. He loves 80s music and constantly looks to it for inspiration, trying to add that retro feel to Dinometal's songs. His upbeat personality hides his feelings of being an outcast, as dimetrodons are not actually dinosaurs; but the band always reminds him that he's a beloved, respected, valuable asset to the band's signature identity. He's currently dating fellow bandmate Aerial.
