Light Interference Cards

Description: The first double-slit experiment was conducted by Thomas Young, in early 1800 to show light is a wave. But the interference pattern collapses once the detector was placed in both of the slits to detect the light pathway. This gives birth to the particle-wave dualism of light.

Description: A wave through two slits gives the famous double-slit interference pattern.

Description: this is a photon interference experiment

Description: A soap bubble from up close looks like a small planet from another world. The vivid colours arise from interference of light reflecting off the front and back surfaces of the thin soap film. Depending on the thickness of the film, different colours interfere constructively and destructively.

Description: The Michelson interferometer was devised to test whether the aether exists. It uses two light beams to create an interference pattern.
