Description: quote: the roses of resistance are grown from the pavement / as rosas de resistência nascem do asfalto / las rosas de la resistencia nacen del asfalto Marielle Franco was a prominent human rights advocate and leftist councilwoman. she had posted several tweets about killings by the police in Rio de Janeiro’s favelas days before been killed. In 14th march, a car pulled alongside hers and opened fire, killing her. her murder is a reminder that urban violence and racism in Rio de Janeiro and Brazil is a system and they will keep silent who raise their voice against it.
