Peace Flower Cards
Description: The V sign is a hand gesture in which the index and middle fingers are raised and parted to make a V shape while the other fingers are clenched. It has various meanings, depending on the circumstances and how it is presented. It came to fame with widespread use as a victory sign ("V for Victory"), with the back of the hand toward the signer. It was introduced in January 1941 as part of a campaign by the Allies of World War II. During the Vietnam War, the "V sign" was widely adopted by the counterculture as a symbol of peace. This design comes from America's 1976 Bicentennial and features the classic peace sign overlaid with the American flag.
Description: War is Not Healthy is based on a poster created by Lorraine Schneider in response to the outcry over the Vietnam War. The artists’ intention was to purposely give it the appearance that a child had created it. This unique style created one of the most iconic anti-war posters of all time that was a common sight in dorm rooms and on protest signs throughout the Vietnam era and beyond.

The comics present a critique of the establishment while satirizing counterculture. The freaks consist of Freewheelin' Franklin Freek, Phineas T. Phreak, and Fat Freddy Freekowtski.
Description: The Monterey International Pop Festival was a three-day concert event held June 16 to June 18, 1967 at the Monterey County Fairgrounds in Monterey, California. The festival is remembered for the first major American appearances by numerous major artists of the '60s. The event embodied the theme of California as a focal point for the counterculture and generally is regarded as one of the beginnings of the “Summer of Love” in 1967. Because Monterey was widely promoted and heavily attended, featured historic performances, and was the subject of a popular theatrical documentary film, it became an inspiration and a template for future music festivals for decades to come...
Description: This vintage floral peace sign blends 60s counterculture cool with timeless botanical charm. With its hand-drawn style and faded blooms, it channels the free spirit of Woodstock and the flower child era while feeling right at home in today’s slow-living, earth-loving aesthetic.
