Petrol Cards
Description: "Petrol Head" - This vibrant image captures the essence of a true petrol head. At the heart of the illustration is a wildly exaggerated character, with bulging eyes and a manic grin, atthe steering wheel of a roaring car. The vehicle is a blend of fantasy and hot rod culture. With its oversized engine, chrome details, and flames streaking from the exhaust, it embodies the rebellious spirit of the era. The entire scene is a nostalgic nod to the golden age of car culture.
Description: Petrol head mechanical madness. This unique illustration of a 'Petrol Head,' a monstrous marvel that bridges the organic and the mechanical. Dominating the scene is the creature's green head, where yellow eyes burn with an unnatural fervour, and a large, pink tongue suggests a voracious appetite for fuel. Its body, a complex network of pipes, wires, and gears, showcases the intricate chaos of machinery taken to the extreme.
Description: Azienda Generale Italiana Petroli (AGIP) was established in Rome in 1926 under the auspices of the Italian government for the purpose of exploring, exploiting, and distributing Italy's underground resources. After the discovery of oil at Cortemaggiore near Piacenza in 1952, the then president of the state-owned company, Enrico Mattei, decided the company needed a logomark. The new logo depicted a stretched-out figure of a six-legged black dog with large red flames issuing forth from its mouth set against a yellow background and would go on to appear on service stations throughout Europe and in countless placements as a sponsor of a wide range of motorsports and events.
