Description: Remembering the greatest play in football history, 3:41 PM on 12/23/1972!

Description: After a few games, the Maulers decided their helmet logo didn't stand out enough on tv, so they outlined the Mauler guy! And, they brightened up the orange. They also simplified the "MAULERS" wordmark in many cases to make it simpler to reproduce. This is what their updated pennant graphics likely would have looked like, had one ever been printed!

Description: After a few games in 1984, the USFL's Pittsburgh Maulers decided that their logo didn't show up well enough on television! So, they outlined the Mauler and it did pop a bit better (better than the team did at least!).

Description: The Pittsburgh Gladiators played four seasons of the "indoor war" at the Igloo! Who could forget those crazy ricochet nets, and the goalposts that were too narrow and too high!

Description: Who doesn't remember this great scene walking into the Igloo at twilight in the Mario Lemieux and early Sidney Crosby eras, or even back into the "Blue Penguins" era!

Description: We loved the "second" Maulers helmet logo, after they changed it to highlight the Mauler guy, making the logo more visible on tv. We highlighted it a bit more here!

Description: This is not a logo celebrating the 1979 Pirates! This is an actual logo from an old professional slow-pitch softball team that once called Pittsburgh home, the Pittsburgh Champions of the North American Softball League!

Description: Retro looking patch that incorporates a gold bridge, much like the ones in Pittsburgh.

Description: The left-facing Maulers helmet as it appeared in the Three Rivers Stadium souvenir stands! The purple was a bit too purple, the orange was a bit too orange, but that's the way it was printed!

Description: What a team workout shirt might have looked like for the old Pittsburgh Maulers of the USFL!
