Purity Cards
Description: Purity Factories Limited began creating quality food products in 1924. It was in that year that three St. John’s businessmen – C.C. Pratt, A.E. Hickman, and W.R. Goobie – purchased a local confectionery and soft drink company, and began production of what were to become instant classics – Peppermint Nobs, candy kisses, and flavoured syrups. Using traditional recipes and only the finest quality ingredients, Purity became the sole producer of hard bread, a staple of the local diet which was used by fishermen as a bread substitute on their long journeys out to sea. It is also the main ingredient in the traditional dish known as “Fish and Brewis”.
Description: Born out of an acquisition/combination of Purity Sav-mor Markets & Supreme Markets, Purity Supreme was a giant in the New England grocery industry. The corporation also ran Angelo's grocery & Heartland food warehouses. After multiple ownership changes in the late 80's & early 90's, the chain was acquired by Stop & Shop, who converted all (but 3) stores to their own brand. Remember the fun of shopping at Purity/Angelo's/Heartland by bagging-up a shirt.

Description: An old man enclosed in himself. A person who loves God with all his convictions. Does not cling to material things and only faith, the belief in good justifies the reason for its existence. The Hermit dwells within us, some make this condition a state of mind. Let us all be lonely to ourselves. Loneliness if loved is not bad. She is a gateway to self-knowledge.
