Description: Probably the goofiest Roman mosaic ever, the Aldborough she wolf stands above Remus and Romulus, obviously very satisfied to be on the picture ! She makes me smile every time I see her. Not all roman mosaicists were masters of their crafts, it shows, and it is wonderful. 300-400 AD, City Museum of Leeds, UK.
