Solid Space Cards
Description: Solid Space was a short-lived British minimal wave band, formed in 1980 by Matthew 'Maf' Vosburgh and Dan Goldstein. Vosburgh and Goldstein, who met at age 11, were previously involved in 1970s new wave band Exhibit A and formed a record label, Irrelevant Wombat Records, at age 14. The band's music and lyrics were heavily indebted to science fiction, in particular the television series Doctor Who. The band spent the next couple of years after their formation recording, with contributions from Jonathan "Jon Winegum" Weinreich. The band's only release that featured all of their material, titled Space Museum, was released on cassette in 1982 through In Phaze Records.
Description: Martin Newell (born 4 March 1953) is an English singer-songwriter, poet, columnist, and author who leads the Cleaners from Venus, a guitar pop band with jangly, upbeat arrangements. He is also regarded as a significant figure in the history of cassette culture and DIY music. His most popular work is The Greatest Living Englishman (1993), produced by Andy Partridge of XTC.
Description: The art style perfectly executes a modern condensed-matter pop-art, graphic quantum-physics minimalism, and tech-insider streetwear aesthetic. By translating an abstract momentum-space boundary into a sleek, glowing 3D wireframe mesh diagram, it masterfully avoids lazy, generic physics apparel tropes like basic cartoon battery drawings, clichéd circuit board patterns, or standard flat atomic symbols. It stands out as an elite lifestyle choice for solid-state physicists and materials science majors, making it a spectacular addition.
