John Coltrane record couple of live LP, Count Basie's Basie at Birdland. Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, Miles Davis, Louie Bellson, Bud Powell, Johnny Smith, Stan Getz, Lester Young, and Ella Fitzgerald among other jazz celebrities. The clubs were frequented by; Frank Sinatra, Ava Gardner, Gary Cooper, Marlon Brando, Marilyn Monroe, Sugar Ray Robinson, Marlene Dietrich, Joe Louis, and other celebrities at that time. This is my version of the logo and concept of that first ‘Birdland’ club. The Club closed in 1965 and reopened in another location in 1986.
