Tottori is the capital and the largest city of Tottori Prefecture in the Chūgoku region of Japan. The Tottori Sand Dunes (鳥取砂丘, Tottori Sakyu) are large sand dunes located just outside the city center and are Tottori's most famous tourist attraction.
