Description: A century ago, it was an endless beehive of activity, welcoming sailing ships bringing cargo from around the world, and departing with holds filled with cotton and naval stores. Today, the Old Savannah Wharf and River Street sit peacefully as an historic destination under a dramatic early morning sky as its successor, the Port of Savannah, lights the Savannah River under the Talmadge Bridge.
