NGC 4565 (also known as the Needle Galaxy) is my favourite an edge-on spiral galaxy about 30 million light-years away from Earth in the constellation Coma Berenices. I have taken this picture with reflector telescope 750mm focal length and professional monochromatic astro camera. Total exposure time: 27 x 600 sec.

Bootes means, herdsman, plowman or ox driver. Canes Venatici means 'hunting dogs' and they belong to Boötes. Coma Berenices means 'Berenice's Hair' and refers to Queen Berenice II of Egypt, who sacrificed her long hair as a votive offering. Quadrans Muralis is a navigational tool used to calculate various readings, such as longitude, latitude, and time of day.
