Originally inspired by a visit to the EPCOT Centre Florida, EPCOT stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow and was named by Walt Disney himself . The attraction opened in 1982. Desert City looks at the possibility of huge numbers having to live in these controlled-environment cities in the future. Can the existing productive farmed area support the predicted future ever increasing rate of population growth?
