C-T Automotive 1951 Crewneck Sweatshirt

C-T Automotive was started in 1951 in Sherman Oaks, California by Don Clark and Clem Tebo (C & T) and followed the old hot rod mantra of “There’s no replacement for displacement.” Their specialty was the manufacturing of stroker kits which increased an engine's displacement by lengthening the stroke of the piston. The journals along the crankshaft are lengthened by a given distance depending on the severity of the stroke enlargement and an increase in the height of the journal makes for double that increase in stroke length. All told, stroked engines can make big power, often without having to machine the block, and C-T Automotive not only knew this, but perfected the formula to get a reliable, high-horsepower stroker that was streetable.
