There is a cover song of Weezer's 'Island in the Sun' sung by a girl named Rin (you can find the song on Soundcloud or Youtube its great). The cover has a different tone than the original and I really liked her take on it. I was reminded of when I was traveling around the Costa Brava meeting wonderful people; just with my old soccer bag and a longing for adventure. From Rin's cover I was inspired to make this digital painting. I put in my childhood nostalgia for the green ranger from Mighty Morphing Power Rangers, my backpacking days in Spain, and my mysticism of wolves. I also put in a who I imagined Rin would be, however how she looks like pales in comparison to my creation.
