Eze is a gorgeous medieval village on the south coast of France, between Nice and Monte Carlo. It has no roads, just red-tiled footpaths marking the way throughout this wonderful hillside settlement.

This image depicts the Stradun, the main street in the old city of Dubrovnik. The city is like a medieval theme park; everything seems to be as it was, except, that is, the thronging masses of tourists. My image was captured from the massive wall that surrounds the old city, from just above the main gate.

One of the visual delights of Eze is its street lighting. Simple and yet elegant, they light your way.

The Twelve Apostles is a collection of limestone stacks off the shore of the Port Campbell National Park, by the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. Their proximity to one another has made the site a popular tourist attraction. The stacks have been formed by erosion, and are all different heights and thicknesses. A number have fallen over entirely as waves continually erode their bases. A 50-metre tall Apostle collapsed on July 3, 2005. Although it was initially thought that one of the Twelve Apostles fell on September 25, 2009 it was later revealed that it was one of the smaller stacks knowns as The Three Sisters. The Schandua Building - Fredericksburg, Texas by Debra Martz While walking down the very busy through street of the tourist town of Fredericksburg, I noticed antique hand knocker on an old door. That brought my attention to the the Texas seal marking this as an historic building. Later, when walking in the opposite direction and across the street, I had a better view of the Schandua building. Well, a better view of the upper level which was the residence. Stair Hole Number of views as of 5th July 2016 = 300. Stair Hole (near Lulworth Cove on the Purbeck coast in Dorset, England) is a partially formed cove which may expand to be as large as its neighbour, Lulworth Cove, in a few tens of thousands of years time perhaps. Stair Hole is something of a geologist's dream. See how the limestone strata to the left of the Hole have 'crumpled', probably as a result of earthquake activity many thousands of years ago. It is also popular with canoeists who like to paddle through the rock arches which have formed as a result of the relentless action of the sea over many centuries. Date: 4th May 2014.
