Artists bring their painting kits and settle in for a day of painting or drawing. Artists of all genres have used Magpie Springs as the backdrop for their work. I love having them here as I work in my studio painting... this is one of my many photographs taken onsite.

The aparatus which puts the nets over the vines is on the back of a 4WD. Its spectacular to watch.The nets cover 4 rows at a time and are taken off before picking.

When I draw the work comes together like a jigsaw. All the works are constructed in much the same way. I use several images to bring together the final work. Pinot Noir grapes close to vintage at Magpie Springs. These grape bunches are a dence cluster recognizably different in structure to Merlot bunches which are much looser.
