Mos Eisley was a spaceport on the desert planet of Tatooine. It was located on the Great Mesra Plateau, north of Anchorhead, and southeast of the Jundland Wastes. The spaceport, while lacking a primary landing facility, contained 362 hangars in which arrivals could berth. The city had wide, sandy streets and many buildings of various sizes. Paradise Road, Straight Street, Kerner Plaza Outer Curved Street, Inner Curved Street, Corporations Road, Dune Street, and the Spacers Row were streets that passed through parts of the town. The crashed Dowager Queen colony ship was a landmark. Mos Eisley was home to various species of aliens from throughout the galaxy. One part of the city was known as the Old Quarter.

Mos Pelgo, briefly known as Freetown, was a town located in the northern hemisphere of the planet Tatooine. In 4 ABY, the Mining Collective rounded up the citizens of the town for labor, with one man, Sheriff Cobb Vanth, stealing a camtono of silicax oxalate crystals from them before running into the desert. Vanth eventually encountered a Jawa sandcrawler and traded the crystals for a set of Mandalorian armor. Soon after, the miner and representative of the newly-established organization Red Key Company Adwin Charu arrived to barter with the Jawas. When Charu tried to claim the armor for himself, Vanth shot him before leaving. Returning to Mos Pelgo, he single-handedly liberated the town from the Mining Collective.

When poured out of its container, rhydonium appeared like spilled chrome. It could be scraped up and salvaged, but only under a high degree of safety measures, as rhydonium was dangerous to exposed skin. Fuel was a type of material used to power vehicles. Starships, such as the Ghost, were powered by fuel. Rhydonium was a volatile type of fuel found on the planet Abafar. The Wookiee planet Kashyyyk hosted an oil refinery, which was a critical location during the Battle of Kashyyyk.

The Mos Eisley Womp Rats were a professional baseball team that was headquartered in Mos Eisley on Tatooine. The team gets its name from the proliferation of rodents that run wild around spaceports and moisture farms throughout the planet. They played their games at Jawa Field. In their inaugural season, the Womp Rats posted a 62–89 record (.411) and finished in last place, 25 games behind the league champion Mos Pelgro Sarlaccs. The team improved significantly the next year as they were pennant contenders until the last game of the season.

Tosche Station was a power station and repair shop on the outskirts of Anchorhead on the desert world of Tatooine, owned by Merl Tosche and operated by Laze Loneozner.[1] During the time of the Galactic Civil War, Loneozner was friends with Luke Skywalker and Biggs Darklighter, who, prior to becoming a member of the Rebel Alliance, spent time at the station with Lonezner, his girlfriend Camie Marstrap, and other youth from Anchorhead.[2] After witnessing a battle between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire in the skies over Tatooine, Skywalker told his friends about what he had seen, but they did not believe it had been a battle.

Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina, also known simply as Chalmun's Cantina, or as the Mos Eisley Cantina, was a drinking and dining establishment located in the city of Mos Eisley on the desert world of Tatooine. Although a dimly lit tavern known for frequent outbreaks of violence, it was a popular stopping point for pilots, smugglers, bounty hunters, alien misfits, and renegades.

Tatooine was a sparsely inhabited circumbinary desert planet located in the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories. It was the homeworld of Anakin and Luke Skywalker, who would go on to shape galactic history. Part of a binary star system, the planet was oppressed by scorching suns, resulting in the world lacking the necessary surface water to sustain large populations. As a result, many residents of the planet instead drew water from the atmosphere via moisture farms. The planet also had no natural surface vegetation.
