A magic pendulum for guidance

I designed this based on a pendulum board, and with a drawing inspired by teleportation spells in games like DnD. I've been having a lot of fun with color experimenting, and this scheme began as a flower, just like the henna designs.

The Colored Version of the Feelings Pendulum, which shows that our feeling sway like a pendulum swings.Each smiley shows an emotion which changes as the pendulum swings from side to side. If the pendulum is still at resting position, it feels content. So the smiley face looks calm and is light green. Each smiley next to it shows slowly escalating emotion through happy (yellow) to ecstatic (Orange) moving left, and through upset (blue) to sad (dark blue) to enraged (red) toward the right. The drawings also show that we can cry on either end of the pendulum, whether extremely upset and even when extremely happy.

A design inspired by harmonographs and Lissajous curves that create geometric images using pendulums and harmonic motion. The harmonograph was created using an algorithm and specially created data in R using ggplot2. Additional triangles were added to create more visual interest and to frame the 'wormhole'. The harmonograph is colored with the Inferno palette; perpetually shaded colors of Black Red Yellow.
