Another version of that amazing waterfall at Leura. As you follow the track past Leura Cascades this little waterfall is just off the path. The jury is still out on the actual name of this one. This rocky outcrop is the end of the famous Three Sisters at Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. I always liked the photo, but it was after a bit of glossing up with a program called SyncUp that it took on an extra dimension .. a change in exposure, colour temperature, etc. I love the jigsaw of trees & bushes sprinkled around the rocks. Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains National Park, Australia. I waited till after sunset to get a consistent light on the cliff & ledge below. This is the top section of the falls which falls again into the valley below.

I took a handful of images of these paddlers both coming towards me and turning back on the lake - just two images - I liked the look of for the balance of the image and their combined movements in the water. Working in full frame with a full frame lens and shooting manually - I set up beforehand to capture this stunning vista - so well known in the Snowdonia mountains here in Wales... In post allowed me to better adjust the fine tuning of light and shadow and for the first time ever - I stumbled upon the magnifier key on my keyboard to check the focus detail of the background and foreground with the two paddlers! Fitzroy Falls drops 81 metres down the escarpment into the Yarrunga Valley - this shot taken from the cliff-edge lookout immediately next to the falls at a time of drought - the lookout affords splendid views to the Kangaroo Valley. I love the golden orange soil & rocks in this section of the Blue Mountains at Lawson. Federal Falls is one of the more accessible waterfalls falling into a sandy area so that you can capture it from lots of different angles. This is Federal Falls south of Lawson in the Blue Mountains National Park in Australia. It is a fairly short walk along the track to get to this spot. With all our wet weather & not having done a walk since the last weekend in January, I was determined to get out on saturday despite the gamble with weather. Leaving Sydney in heavy rain I was hoping that the predicted possible thunderstorm in the Blue Mountains wouldn't happen or otherwise I might get in & get out before it eventuated. There was light rain in South Lawson when I got to the start of the walk so I grabbed the big umbrella to protect the camera & some wet weather gear for me. In the middle of the Canyon Walk at Blackheath is this beautiful area of pools where you rock hop & enjoy the serenity of the steep cliffs & lush fernery. Looking towards the Brecon Beacons from the dam at the northern end of the Talybont Reservoir in Powys, South Wales. In the foreground is the valve tower reflected in the almost still water. Built in the 1930s to provide water for Newport, this is the largest reservoir in the National Park covering an area of 318 acres (128.69 hectares). The popular Wattamolla in the Royal National Park is pretty busy in summer, but even in winter it has plenty of admirers. This tiny waterfall creates a great effect as it falls into the deep pool below. Despite the strong breeze, I managed to get this shot without too much movement in the framing vegetation.
