Mount Batten Tower, Plymouth, April 2023 The 17th century Mount Batten artillery tower is one of the key landmarks in the 'ocean city' of Plymouth (Devon, England). Mount Batten was the location of a flying boat station and RAF base between 1913 and 1986. Date: 30th April 2023.

Drake’s Island is situated in the natural harbour of Plymouth Sound, in Devon. It is named after Sir Francis Drake, the sixteenth century English sea captain who made Plymouth his home port.
