This elegant and graceful mute swan glides through the water effortlessly. The mute swan derived it's name from being much less vocal than other swan species.

Puffy white clouds drift over a small lake this landscape photograph taken at James H. "Sloppy" Floyd State Park in the North Georgia mountains. The shores are lined with tall pine trees that taper down to a small dam that separates the upper and lower lakes. It's a beautiful late summer day in the Chattahoochee National Forest in the foothills of the Appalachians. This is photo I took while I was camping and fishing in early September of 2021. The weather was spectacular, though the fish weren't really biting...though I did catch one bass. I liked the way the dam served as a focal point for the scene.
