Basically, I tried to make Robin Hood but with more of a water color look.

Creative liberties lets me put female Robin up front. Male Robin comes off as a tough guy for some reason.

ROBIN HOOD OO DE LALLY

Getting into the Christmas spirit with this watercolour painting. I always enjoy painting birds because they allow for a lot of texture and brush experimentation, this one focusing on colour bleeding and a paint puddle kind of technique. Seasonal card variations of this design will be available over Christmas, so be sure to check the print store for these.

Great Robin Williams quote "A friend is someone who listens to your bullshit, tells you it's bullshit and listens to some more." Robin was a great actor, comedian and writer. (Don't forget he wrote his own material as well as improvising the sh** out of everything he ever performed in. A hilarious gentleman gone too soon. But hopefully an eternal inspiration to the wacky, the creative and the kooky. Writers fit that bill.
