Water Lily Merch

A classic water lily with flower in bloom and leaves in a graphic style.

The dragonfly flitting around this purple water lily adds extra interest to the water garden.

When we visited the botanic garden in October, we were surprised to see that there were still some water lilies in bloom in the water lily pond. However, you can see that season is almost at an end because the lily pads are beginning to turn colors.

Gently floating on the water, these purple water lilies casting shadows in the sunshine and making interesting designs add the perfect touch to your water garden.

This Water Lily was photographed on South Newsham Reservoir near Blyth in Northumberland on a bright morning and the sunshine seemed to illuminate the flower giving it a glow.

Masses of these lovely water lilies are growing wild in an old reservoir near Blyth in Northumberland and provide a beautiful splash of colour and almost translucent flowers in summertime.

Water lilies are a type of flower that can be found in water, therefore, they often have a symbolic meaning of essence and birth, which it also means, ultimately, the circle of life we all have. The 'King of Siam' water lily flower opens each morning to reveal a bright yellow centre. By sundown, the flowers close, ready to reopen again the next day.
