I know the inventor of the GIF said it was pronounced 'JIF', but personally, I'm for team Hard G. I think he was just wrong, I don't know why it would be a soft G. It stands for Graphics Interchange Format and you don't say Jraphics Interchange Format, right? Anyway, GIF's are the best thing on the internet. Period.

Remove all doubt for those still confused: gif is pronounced jif. The guy who created the format said so.
