Description: Ryu is investigating a mysterious terrorist organization called the Lords of Alchemy. Their leader, a masked man known as the Regent of the Mask, wants to use Ryu's own power and blood for a dangerous experiment. The story is basically about Ryu being forced to confront the consequences of being a ninja and the violence he has caused throughout his life.
Description: The story is set in 1274 on the peaceful island of Tsushima, Japan. A massive Mongol armada, led by the ruthless and brilliant Khotun Khan, invades the island. The island's samurai class, led by Lord Shimura, rides out to meet them on the beach in an honorable, open battle. It is a slaughter. The samurai code of honor—fighting face-to-face, announcing your name, and showing mercy—is completely useless against the brutal, calculating tactics of the Mongols. Lord Shimura is captured, and Jin Sakai, the main character and Lord Shimura's nephew, is left for dead.
