Circe Hat

Circe, the sorceress, known for turning men into swine, stands in a small marble temple on a cliff overlooking the sea. She has a magic staff in one hand and a goblet of wine (presumably laced with one of her magic potions) in the other. In the distance, a Greek trireme sails towards her island. Perhaps this is the legendary Odysseus on his ten year journey. I created this to be part of my Greek Mythology series.  Typically, my works in this series are more an illustration of an individual character, but for this one, I decided to try more of a full scene with some architecture in the foreground and a distant view in the background.
