Description: Sitting on the east side of 7th Street, the mural covered Tacos De Juarez was a landmark just south of the 10 on the edge of the Roosevelt Arts District that couldn't be missed. The humble-looking barn-style building housed the family-owned and operated restaurant that served up less-than-humble Sonoran-style Mexican food that made them a favorite spot for Phoenicians for years. Unlike most businesses that close their doors as a result of low sales and a lack of customers, the family decided to close Tacos De Juarez despite their parking lot being routinely filled. The murals lasted for a few years on the vacant building, but were sadly painted with a boring shade of desert tan, erasing the landmark for good...
