Description: The Dead Rabbits were a notorious Irish gang that dominated the nefarious Five Points neighborhood of New York City during the mid to late 1800’s. The Dead Rabbits became part of popular culture when they were portrayed in Martin Scorsese’s 2006 film “Gangs of New York” with Leonardo DiCaprio playing the fictional leader of the well known gang. The Dead Rabbits Gang was easily identified by the red striped shirts they wore to show their affiliation with the gang. This design incorporates the red stripes that look almost like blood or paint smears across the background of the image of a rabbit’s skull, and some Celtic Knots to reflect the Irish culture associated with the Dead Rabbits gang. Description: Paura nella città dei morti viventi - In the small New England town of Dunwich, a priest commits suicide by hanging himself in the church cemetery which somehow opens the gates of hell allowing the dead to rise. Peter, a New York City reporter, teams up with a young psychic, named Mary, to travel to the town where they team up with another couple, psychiatrist Jerry and patient Sandra, to find a way to close the gates before All Saints Day or the dead all over the world will rise up and kill the living.
Description: Despite crime being at an all-time high in New York City during the mid '70s, the city's Mayor was said to be planning to discharge a substantial number of firefighters and police officers as a budget balancing measure. The Council for Public Safety was a group made up of firemen and policemen, and they published a visitor, pamphlet called "Welcome to Fear City: A Survival Guide for Visitors to the City of New York." with a scary reaper type figure on the cover. They hoped to make NYC seem so terrifying that the thought of laying off police and firefighters would be unconscionable. At least 1 million copies of the pamphlet were printed, and certainly had people second guessing their safety in the Big Apple.
