Description: Zesto was started by entrepreneur and inventor L.A.M. Phelan as a national franchise. Phelan was head of the Taylor Freezer Corporation, which in 1945 had developed the "Zest-O-Mat" frozen custard machine, and franchise agreements granted exclusive use of the Zest-O-Mat machines in a given territory under the Zesto name. The first known Zesto Drive-In was opened in Jefferson City, Missouri in 1949 with dozens more opening throughout the 1950s, mostly in the U.S. South and Midwest. Taylor Freezer Corp, reportedly growing frustrated with managing a retail business and dealing with franchisees, abandoned the Zesto concept in 1955 and left the remaining franchisees to fend for themselves.
Description: ShowBiz Pizza Place was a popular 1980s American family entertainment chain combining pizza, arcade games, and animatronic shows. Founded March 3, 1980, in Kansas City, Missouri, it later merged with Chuck E. Cheese after 1984 bankruptcy proceedings. Rebranding began in 1990, and the ShowBiz name was retired in January 1993.
Description: The Red Barn restaurant was a fast-food restaurant chain founded in 1961 in Springfield, Ohio. Originally, the Red Barn restaurants were in the shape of barns with a glass front and limited seating, while later buildings had the familiar fast-food style mansard roof which allowed them to comply to more local building codes. They were known for their signature "Big Barney" and "Barnbuster" burgers and the chain was quite forward-looking with their menu and were actually the first chain to have self-service salad bars. At its peak, Red Barn had 300–400 restaurants in 19 states, as well as outlets in southern Ontario, elsewhere in Canada, and Australia.
Description: Burger World is a fictional fast food restaurant and recurring location in Beavis and Butt-Head. The boys managed to hold part-time jobs there, despite being just awful employees. They routinely wreak havoc as they goof off and fail to perform simple tasks, including taking orders. They have also damaged the drive-thru speaker, rearranged letters on the menu to spell something disgusting or vulgar, fried just about every kind of small creature there is, stolen money from the register, and slowed service so badly that everybody left. Despite all this, the manager has kept them employed. He puts up with their goofing off and never fires them. It's possible that because of the duo's antics, Burger World is a horrible place to work...
Description: If you travelled Route 66 between Amarillo, Texas and Albuquerque, New Mexico at some point between 1949 and 2000, you probably at least thought about pulling off at the Westerner Drive-Inn in Tucumcari, New Mexico. Located at 1001 West Route 66 Boulevard, it was the only thing around on this particular stretch and was pretty hard to miss, and frequent travelers have undoubtedly knew it was the place to get a great meal. Operating as an old school drive in for just over five decades, the Westerner specialized in big burgers, golden fries, and traditional sodas, even offering a full breakfast menu to weary travelers.

Description: Big Kahuna Burger is a fictional chain of Hawaiian-themed fast food restaurants that has appeared in movies including Death Proof, Four Rooms, Pulp Fiction, From Dusk Till Dawn, The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl, and Reservoir Dogs. The most notable appearance of the chain has got to be when Jules and Vincent pay a visit to Brett, leading to Jules absconding with Brett's Big Kahuna Burger. "Mmm-mmmm. That is a tasty burger. Vincent, ever have a Big Kahuna Burger?" Big Kahuna Burger is one of my most popular designs, so I revisited it to create a v2 version that gives it an updated look. This version is a clean/new look, but I've also got a distressed version that gives it a realistic vintage look in my shop.
Description: Bringing a little west coast style to Chicago, Richard's Drive-In opened their first location in 1949. While we're not totally sure what the twin mascots were about, they were a part of Richard's branding since day one, including having the drive-in's signature California Twinburger named after them. By the mid'50s, Richard's had half a dozen locations in Illinois and additional locations in Cambridge, Detroit, and New York.
Description: The Kids Club Gang was a diverse group of cartoon children that appeared in advertisements for B.K. throughout the '90s. The characters were presented as the 'founding members' of the real-life B.K. Kids Club loyalty program, which allowed children to sign up and receive a membership card, a free meal on their birthday, and additional promotional items such as magazines and calendars via mail. The characters were featured prominently in print advertising as well as in animated television spots, where they were commonly referred to as being in the coolest club in town.
