Description: On July 12, 1986, two undefeated fighters stepped into the ring at the Omni in Atlanta, Georgia, for a highly anticipated battle for the WBA cruiserweight championship. Champion Dwight Muhammad Qawi, known as the “Camden Buzzsaw,” brought relentless pressure, exceptional toughness, and devastating inside fighting. Across the ring stood the young Evander Holyfield, an Olympic bronze medalist with remarkable hand speed, athleticism, and ambition. Holyfield was still establishing himself as a professional, while Qawi was a seasoned champion accustomed to fighting at the highest level. It was a fascinating clash of experience, power, and youthful determination.
