Far Rockaway Hats
Description: Far Rockaway High School was a public high school in New York City, at 821 Bay 25th Street in the Far Rockaway neighborhood, in Queens. The school was in operation from 1897 until 2011, ultimately closing as students’ average grades continued to decline. Far Rockaway stopped accepting students in 2008 and closed for good on June 27, 2011 after the final class graduated. This design is based on a late ’50s era artifact that was most likely standard dress for P.E. or a practice shirt for any number of athletic programs.
