In February of 1934, after the end of prohibition, the Onyx Club became an authorized club in a new location — 72 West 52nd Street. The Onyx featured musicians including the Spirits of Rhythm and Art Tatum, who then was the regular intermission pianist. It burned down in 1935. Description: A stylized vintage poster with a strong Art Deco influence. It features a portrait of a woman with pale skin and white, wavy hair that contrasts sharply with the warm, earthy tones of the background. Her facial features are simplified and elegant, with a focus on the red lips and the soft contouring of the cheeks and nose, typical of the Art Deco style. Behind her, there are abstract floral designs and geometric shapes in shades of red, orange, and black, evoking a sense of sophistication and the bold aesthetic of the early 20th century. The word "FASHION" is written at the bottom in a stylized font that complements the era's design sensibilities.
