Description: Ernst Home Centers, Inc. was a chain of home improvement retail stores founded in Seattle, Washington, in 1893 by Seattle brothers Charles and Fred Ernst. In 1960, Ernst became a division of Pay 'n Save, one of the largest retail companies in the Pacific Northwest. After a 1984 takeover of Pay 'n Save, Ernst was sold off and went public a decade later. Following several highly publicized lawsuits and a failed attempt to open larger stores, the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1996 and liquidated the following year. At the company's peak, it operated 95 stores in 12 western U.S. states. This design is based on Ernst's '70s logo, which was in place until their first rebranding in 1980, which was way less cool.
Description: Since 1909, Fort Benning has served as the Home of the Infantry. Since 2005, Fort Benning has been transformed into the Maneuver Center of Excellence, as a result of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Commission's decision to consolidate a number of schools and installations to create various "centers of excellence". Included in this transformation was the move of the Armor School from Fort Knox to Fort Benning.
