Description: Age of electric power. Westinghouse Generators inside the Canadian Niagara Power Plant. The first major power plant on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, CNP was completed in 1905 to produce hydroelectricity by using the power of the Niagara River. It was decommissioned in 2006 and acquired by Niagara Parks in 2009. Presently closed to the public, Niagara Parks plans to transform the historic Canadian Niagara Power Generating Station into a landmark attraction and multi-use visitor space.

The Speed Graphic was a press camera produced by Graflex in Rochester, New York. As a press camera, in the 1950s and 1960s, the iconic photo-journalists of the Washington Post and the former Washington Evening Star shot on Speed Graphics exclusively. The 1942-1953 Pulitzer Prizes for photography were taken with Speed Graphic cameras. Description: Vintage Elmwood pear crate from the Blue Anchor Brand California Fruit Exchange. I grew up on a fruit farm and we had 100's of these crates with graphics in storage to collect apples each fall. I was fascinated with the variety of labels on the crates from exotic far away places. This particular one is the last of the collection.
