Lamentation Hats
Description: Lamentation of the Pig A grieving acolyte in lavender vestments cradles Saint Porcellus, Patron Pig of Contentment, while a second swine achieves transcendence through complete surrender to existence. Art historians remain divided on the work's true meaning. Some interpret the upturned pig as a meditation on mortality and the fleeting nature of earthly pleasures. Others contend it represents humanity's eternal struggle against an indifferent universe. A minority of scholars maintain that the artist had absolutely no idea what he was doing.

Description: Seneca was one of the stoic philosophers in ancient Rome. Despite sexist remarks made in much of his writing, this statement was sincere given that a personal experience in his life inspired it. He had an aunt whose husband had recently passed away overseas and she was taxed with the duty of bringing his body home for proper burial. She endured violent storms on the ship in addition to a shipwreck which took a great toll on her health and wellbeing. Still, after all was said and done she managed to complete the task. These words are a tribute to her in and her efforts, in part. All in all, it is still true, speaking of women as a whole.
