Description: The Milwaukee Braves were unique among professional sports franchises. When the team moved from Boston to Milwaukee in 1953, the Braves became the first major league ball club to change cities in half a century. The shift initiated a series of westward migrations by teams and provided the impetus for league expansion. Milwaukee fans inherited an array of heroes from handsome young slugger Eddie Mathews, who led the majors in home runs to high-kicking southpaw, Warren Spahn, on his way to the Hall of Fame. They had powerful Joe Adcock, feisty Johnny Logan, speedy Billy Bruton, Wisconsin farm boy Andy Pafko, and then next spring, they added legend-in-the-making, Henry Aaron.
Description: The original Milwaukee Mustangs is a franchise primarily recognized by the Arena Football League. They entered the league in 1994 and played until just after the turn of the century, 2001. The team's name would be revived roughly ten years later after a fan vote in 2011 changed the name of the 2009-10 Milwaukee Iron into the Milwaukee Mustangs, a team that would play until the 2012 season. The 1994 Milwaukee Mustangs are one of only six teams in AFL history to go winless in the regular season.
Description: The Milwaukee Does were a team in the short-lived Women's Professional Basketball League. Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, their name was a play on that of the NBA Milwaukee Bucks. The Does played in the first two of the WPBL's three seasons, 1978–1979 and 1979–1980, before disbanding. The team played its home games at the Milwaukee Arena and were coached for part of the 1979–1980 season by Larry Costello, who had coached the Bucks from their inception, including an NBA championship in 1971.

Description: Johann Braun opened City Brewery in 1846. Valentin Blatz established a brewery next door in 1850 and merged both breweries upon Braun's death in 1852. After a fire destroyed much of the original brewery in 1872, Blatz was able to enlarge and update his facilities with new brewing technology.
