Description: Chickens beneath my nectarine tree. It has been hot, sunny and quite humid here and we have had the occasional thunderstorm. As a result my finca, in La Alpujarra Almeriense, Almeria, Spain, is looking particularly lush with rampant weeds. Before we cut back the weeds I wanted to capture the lush greens in watercolour. First I arranged the composition, including the old wheelbarrow. I then encouraged my chickens to gather by spreading some corn around.
