Pieta Hats
Description: A moving abstract interpretation of the Pietà, where sorrow, tenderness, and sacred stillness meet in luminous blue and gold. This Christian abstract art design captures the emotional depth of Mary holding Christ with a modern spiritual style shaped by flowing brushwork and radiant light. A profound piece for those drawn to Marian devotion, the passion of Christ, and contemporary religious art.
Description: Crucifixion - Pieta Jesus Dies on the Cross Stations of the Cross or Via Crucis, refers to a series of 15 images depicting Jesus Christ on the day of his crucifixion. The Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem is believed to be the actual path Jesus walked to Calvary. Through the stations the Christian faithful make a spiritual pilgrimage through meditations on the Passion of Christ.
Description: With much less detail, this is a gravestone replica of Michelangelo's "The Pietà". Here sits Mary holding her son Jesus who has just died on the Cross. I have many emotions when viewing and pondering this image. As a mother myself, my heart breaks for Mary as she had to watch her first born endure a most horrific and undeserving death. However, I have even deeper emotions knowing that this is how my Lord and Savior sacrificed himself for me; for all of us, so that we may be with Him one day. This is True Love. John 3:16, John 15:13 Location: Saint Adalbert Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleums, 6800 North Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, Illinois 60174 (West side of North Newark Avenue)
Description: A simple yet elegant vector of the icon of Extreme Humility, the original Pieta present in Orthodox Iconography for centuries. It is also called "Do Not Weep for Me Mother." In Orthodox Iconography the Mother of God stands for the Church, here the Bride is embracing her Bridegroom at the consumption of their Wedding Feast on the Cross.
