Description: This painting done in watercolor in 1912 was created as an illustration for a children's story printed in Sweden in 1912. It was called The Walk of Innocence, and was published in the book called Among Gnomes and Trolls a fairy tale written by Helena Nyblom. A princess with a golden crown gazes lovingly at a giant bear in a mystical forest setting. The surrounding foliage adds to the magical atmosphere.
