Description: Carmen Miranda, the Brazilian Bombshell, was one of the first original pop icons. She made all of her own floral/fruit hats, wore platform heels in the 1940s, and was imitated by Mickey Rooney, Jerry Lewis, Lucille Ball and Daffy Duck among others. Just check your Chiquita banana sticker to see her influence on pop culture.
