Triad Hats
Description: Triple Triad is a popular, fast-paced card game originally introduced as a massive side-quest in the 1999 role-playing video game Final Fantasy VIII. Played on a simple 3x3 grid, the game features two players, each selecting five cards with four numbers ranging from 1 to 10 (represented by an 'A') assigned to the top, bottom, left, and right edges of the card. Players take turns placing cards on the grid, and if the number on a newly placed card outvalues an adjacent opponent's card on the touching side, that opponent's card is "flipped" to the player's color. The player controlling the most cards when the grid is full wins the match, often allowing them to claim rare cards from the loser.
