The excitement of plunging into a new American cityscape, to lose myself in the streets, alone and unseen, exploring, looking up, relishing the novelty of architecture and colour. I spotted this corner of a purple building, a traffic sign adding a burst of colour, like a squirt of lime in a drink. Windows reflect light back at me. The sky struggles to be seen over the rooftop.
