THE WITCH IN THE WATER Hoodie

Often some elements of deep wreck diving can get very spooky and scary... sometimes at depth exhilarated by experience and adventure, the build up of nitrogen as the raptures take grip, the mind starts to race in a sinister and sometimes otherworldly manner. This experience led me to capture this shot. Deep from the bowels of the engine room, as the Egyptian dive guide weaselled his way through the wreck, I looked up to see his silhouette shadowed against the light... almost like a 'Witch' or 'Warlock' in the water... I fervently reached for my camera and captured a poetic pose... Magical marvels, mysterious and deep... and only 'missing a broomstick'
