Against the Wood Grain Hoodie

Walking in Swiss alpine meadow in summer is a delight especially is the weather is good. Here I saw a small craftsman cottage in Alpine style with wood curing in the sun. The grain was attractive with the wooden plank in golden colours. I wondered what it would be used for? Knots in a piece of timber give the wood character and reminds us that it came for a living tree. Knots are not weaknesses but part of natures unique display.
