Ironbridge is The World Heritage Site of the birth of the Industrial Revolution. The bridge was constructed by the Industalist Abraham Darby from Cast Iron Sections the first successful Iron structure in the World. It is located in the village of Ironbridge on the River Seven in the Ironbridge Gorge. The village in the county of Shropshire is named after its achievement from the surrounding iron smelting works and comes under the Newtown district of Telford named after the great engineer Thomas Telford.
