Ram Island Ledge Light Portland Maine by Debra Martz Built of gray granite blocks in 1905 on a tiny rock island in Casco Bay, Ram Island Ledge Light strikes a solitary pose at the entrance to the Portland, Maine Harbor. Still a critical aid to navigation, the Ram Island Ledge Light flashes white twice every six seconds.
